D.M.D. Services adds a 'Long Arm' to its tool box

The Caterpillar 330B L Ultra-High, equipped with a CAT MP20 Multi-processor is the first in use in the Chicagoland area. This ultra-high arm allows D.M.D. Services to accomplish projects quickly and more safely and quietly.

With a reach of over 68 feet, tool handling capacity of over 6600 pounds, and versatile accesories, this equipment creates a new era in demolition techniques.

The job goes faster as material can be processed and segregated simultanelously. In addition, the machine can be moved around the worksite more quickly than other types of demolition equipment.

The demolition work can be done at greater heights using specialty equipment supported by the long arm. This permits demolition to take place without the sounds of a crashing wrecking ball. Surgical like precision dismantlement replaces the noise of sections of buildings crashing down from the impact of traditonal demolition methods.

Workers are kept out of harms way as they do not need to enter structures with torches or be in close proximity to operate a wrecking ball - rather they sit up to 30 feet away using attachments on the long arm to literally cut the builing down to size. Operators stay alert as fatigue is reduced due to the smooth operation of the CAT equipment and unobstructed viewing angles provided by the equipment's design.
